The Future of Data - Savage Savant or Societal Saviour Rohit Talwar, CEO, Fast Future
In this keynote speech, global futurist Rohit Talwar will explore how the evolution of data and the power attached to it could change the fabric of society and redefine what it means to be human - bringing both massive opportunities and potentially existential risks.

To explore these issues, he will discuss four key topics around the future of data:
• How next generation data technologies like AGI and DNA storage could change our world
• Data's role in tackling global grand challenges
• New data enabled possibilities and business models - from self-governing money to smart trees
• Societal factors - from who owns our data to existential risks and the challenge of global data governance.

Closing keynote talk, Launch of Newham Sparks Chapter 2 report
In this keynote, the Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz OBE will be joined by UCL’s Institute of Global Prosperity to discuss the findings and recommendations from Newham Sparks Chapter 2 - Unleashing the power of data to drive shared prosperity: A roadmap to a transformative data society. The research collaboration explored the potential scale of the Data Sector in Newham, London and the UK, examining scope for inclusive economic growth and job creation, education and skills training needs, and the social value that data can generate for citizens and communities. It aims to inform and influence wider national and regional policy to drive the growth of the Data Sector in Newham, in London as a city and the UK as a whole.
